Our History and Mission
The Bay Area Association of REALTORS® was formed in 1996 as a result of the consolidation of three local boards of Realtors® - Kent and Queen Anne's counties. The formation of the Association provided REALTORS® and the public with a strong voice in the protection and promotion of property rights while fostering the ultimate American dream of home ownership.
Our mission is to maintain a financially viable association offering support , services, and training for our members; to provide community outreach and foster a proactive relationship with the National Association of REALTORS®, Maryland REALTORS®, and local and state legislative leaders. To be the leading advocate of the real estate industry, private property rights, and the issues that most affect our members’ ability to serve the public with competency, integrity, and professionalism.
